Default Garmin software

I have an Etrex Vista with Parks and Rec & Topo loaded on it.

I'm looking for Software that has Michigan snowmobile trails on it.

Thanks Jay

I think the garmin etrex is great. I think that I would save my self 100 bucks a downgrade to the legend instead of the vista. The differance is 16mb of memory and barometer and elevation options. Which I don't use.

eTrex Vista...good choice. I have the eTrex Legend and used it for three years so fat. As for maps, I have Metro Guide (good for everyday use and getting somewhere) and Mapsorce Topo (great for out west hunting. Has all the ranch roads, hills and gullies.) I doubt they would have snowmobile trails but you might try it at a store). I guess I could use more memory like the Vista but I load for the areas I am going to and that's fine. Metro uses up lots of memory but Topo doesn't. Check out Topo and it might help you. I don't go anywhere with out my eTrex Legend. (even in daily use).

Are you guys happy with the software? I have a vista and love it. I would like to buy some of the maps from garmin but I'm worried about spending a 100 bucks and not be happy with it. Has any one tried some of the other software out there?

Good question. I've seen all kinds of post telling what the software can and can't do but no one's really said if they would buy it again or recommend it. I'm close to ordering the topo software too.

I really like the Park & Rec. It has every road you can image on it.
Even my driveway to my cabin is on it. I also have the Topo. I do not care for it at all. If anyone knows of a software that has michgan snowmobile trails on it please let me know.

Thanks

Jay

I've never heard of the Park and Rec. Sounds like it is more like something I would like better than the topo. I'll have to look into it. Does it show waterways? What kind of detail are they?
