I am sick of this cold weather. Then is it going to end and when are the steelies going to hit the redds, june is my guess. The one good thing about the cold weather is i had the the river to myself. I decide i was going to try a couple of different holes before i hit my honey hole. After a few hours of frozen rod tips i hit my honey hole where on my 5th, 6th, and 7th cast i had nice battles which only yielded one 25inch dark buck. nothing the rest of the day.

Tightlines!!

Thanks for the update, I'll be hitting the Ausable in the morning. It's supposed to warm a bit so hopefully things go a little better for me.
I was just thinking the same thing about when the fish will hit the gravel and I would havto say two days after the next solid rain. wish my thermometer wasn't broke!!!

Stelmon just go fishing!! Might as well give up on hitting the peak of the run, Even is you did it's not the best fishing of the season!!!
