Default GPS Software

I have a Garmin GPS12 that has died on me twice in the last 6 years. Garmin took care of me both times with a replacement.
I was very lazy when it came to writing down my saved waypoints and routes and lost them all both times.
I finally picked up a PC/GPS Data cable (Ebay $14) and downloaded the free software from "www.easygps.com" and transferred all my waypoints and routes to my PC in less than 30 seconds.
You can also key in your waypoints on the PC and transfer them to the GPS. I plotted some points along the Canadian Boundry (using my Hotspots map program) and made it a route and transferred it to my GPS and I now have the Canadian boundry on my GPS.

I know the better GPS's have the maps in them and have better software programs but I posted this for us guys with the cheap ones.
It also work with other brands.
Later,
Hotwired

I have the Garmin 12xl. I use street atlas to download my way points. I will probably sell my 12 and get a rino 120. That looks like an awesome little unit.
