Question

Does anybody know where i can pick up some 3/4 of a pound thread line. i used to be able to get it at gander mountain but they dont sell it anymore.i cant find it anywhere. it is black in color and is just like monofliment.

Mikefde, Check out the sewing dept at K-mart or Wal-mart for invisable thread. it test's out around 3/4# and has worked well for me for the last several years. Watch for nicks and treat it gentely and it well treat you well. I have cought gills to 11 in. on it without problumes. I bought two spools the other day (clear & smoke color) @ $1.37 ea. for 500 yd. per spool. Remember that the big one's don't want to come up and you will have to play them a little on this lite line or they will break you off... Good luck and tight lines. Benji.

thanks alot i was thinking of looking at thread. i dont like using anything over a pound.i have been 3/4 of a pound the last 4 years and never had much problems bring up big gills.dont get me wrong if you horse them to much they will bust your line but i use a 4foot rod and have the drag set pretty loose.thanks again mike
