There was a story on the news last weekend of an ice fisherman that fell through the ice. <----<<<

If they are, I hope it's from a boat. Unless maybe in the upper UP.

After the cold temperatures in the evenings this weekend there ought to be some ice somewhere.

Does anyone know if the cold is supposed to last? I am itching to icefish. Anyone been in southeast michigan? Seems like some smaller lakes have a thin sheet of ice. Knowing michigan it will be 50 next week. Bring on the COLD!!!!!

Mickey:
I am considering going out to test a few spots later this week. One small lake/pond I have fished before usually freezes up quickly. If I do go out I can let you know how it is. I would prefer to send to you by email the location though.

Fished houghton yesterday (12/6), was a solid 6 inches. Making ice constantly right now. Bet you'll see guys driving out in a couple weeks or sooner.
