Default Gino's for Walleye

My bud hogty and I went out from Geno's Surf Wednesday couldnt get out till almost dark. Shanty loaded with plenty of food, propane for lantern and heater, bait and T.P. we made our treck out onto the ice.
Our plan was to stay out all night and fish till noon the next day.
So we set out for a preasure crack what seemed to be a couple miles south of Ginos. Knowing that it may get windy we anchored the shanty about 25 yards from the crack.
Man did that wind howl it was an erie feeling believe me. The shanty shook which made the lantern swing like a pendulum. Ice formed on the interior of the shanty coated the walls and even the doorway zipper we were intombed. The cold slipped into our bones but my partner and I knew we were in for a long stay. Knowing no way in hell would we pack up and make the walk all the way back into such a head wind. So fished we did.
The fishing was slow if existant at all. As time ticked on and gas bottle after gas bottle was changed daylight slowley appeared out from the east. We felt like we've achieved some sort of knight ship or that we were just plain stupid for subjecting ourselves to such extremes.
As day broke Hogty raised his rod and out onto the ice was our first truley edible dilight a Walleye we rejoiced then not much later a fat perch in the 12" class gracefully slithered out of the hole and one again we cheered. then the largest perch I have ever caught came up the through the hole 141/2" hog it dwarfed the eye in girth.
All our coldness and indecisions had left once those fish were caught. For a brief moment we were tiumphant in our quest. Then reality slipped back in, we were out on the ice for 17 hours straight and brought home 3 fish also caught 2 mudpuppys and a warmouth bass. Wholey cow we must be crazy.
Here are the pics.

I did basically the same thing last sunday, but i was out all day, from 8AM til about 8PM and had a walleye and a few perch and i felt like it was really something until i thought about it. Still better than sitting around the house in front of the idiot box.
