Default Belle River LSC: How come..........

I never see any posts about Belle River?

Is there somethin' I don't know about?
It seems like it would be just as good as St. Lukes or Stoney.
And a little less of a drive ta boot!

Anyway, just wondering

Are you talking about the Belle that flows into Marine City?
If so I think the access to the water, is harder to get.

I 'm not sure if its the same place or not?
The one I'm refering to, is on the south end of LSC, I thought there was a boat ramp there?
It may be a private marina or something? maybe ? I don't know?

I think your talking about bell river in Canada. They were getting eyes way out 4 to 5 miles out. But that ice can be hazardous lots of current and wind can send the ice into the lake and down the river. On the good side you might get a chance to fish lk Erie that way.

Ice there is usually too scary for me. Takes one heck of a winter to make anything on the main lake safe south of 7 mile from the MI side to well east of Peche Island. People forget how much water we are moving through that lake. 90% of the water that goes over the Niagra falls goes through the lake.

Take the advice! have to be very careful fishing in that area. Very easy to take a ride down the Detroit river if the wind changes on you,, too many feeder creeks and rivers in that area for consistant ice thicknesses!

Ive been out there a couple times this year, we were pulling limits of eyes(I dont give every report out) off the hump out in front of the belle a few weeks ago. Also was fishing 3/4 of a mile out infront of the Al (old bar in emeryville) and doing the same. A few sturgeon have also been caught out there this year.

Stoney point has absolutely sucked this year! Gracie side road is just as bad(couple vehicles went through here last sunday) Best bet is st.lukes!

Two week ago, a couple buddies I know headed out on their 3 wheelers off the Belle for some night Walleye fishing. They found a nice patch of clear ice and decided to give it a try. First good poke with the spud went right through. Be careful over there. BTW, they did limit out on eyes.
