Default Anyone fishing the spillway??

Has anyone been out for the eyes after dark?? I have this evening and tommorow day to fish before that job thing gets in the way again. I know that I have hammered them right before the season closes, but dont know how soon they start.

If you stay out on the lake in front of the Spillway, the season never closes. I haven't fished the spillway in the winter since they put the boom up by Riverside Park, but I have seen a fair number of shanties out there.

Boundary is from the two extreme ends of land.

yes it's the bridge to lake. I used to fish it open water when the lake is still ice. I'd blow up a 4 man raft with trol mtr. and use a chugging stick with jig. rap or jig. but the last few years eyes have been slow that way . lots of pike

HMMM I saw a couple of guys getting tickets a few years back for having Pike in their possession below the bridge while the inland season was closed. Their shanty was between the bridge and the mouth. Technically, that's inland water, but I'm sure there is some disgression used by different officers.

Just saw a report that a guy picked up two eyes and some jumbos fishing off of ginos last night. About time to start trying down there I think......Hope the ice holds into march this year!!
