Default LSC frozen over?

Does anyone know if LSC is froze completely across? It does in some cold winters. Just wondering about this year.

Mike: I was fishing at Metro today and the D.N.R came up to me just asking what I caught, what I was using , and the size. I did get 18 perch 7 to 10". Couldn,t get a bite on minnows, all wax worms and very few dinks. Fished right next to the second dock.
Anyway, he made a comment that he saw 3 guys fishing by open water and thought it was dangerous. I don,t no where but that is what he said.

When those people fell through the ice last week in the minivan there was open water near by.
