The two my buddy Larry is holding he got. They were 32" and 33". The one I'm holding is just shy of 36". Also another friend saw a musky. I also got 3 perch 8-9" Buddy Keith got about 10 perch. Larry also had 10 perch 8-9". Most of the perch we saw had lockjaw again. The pike were speared.

Nice day for you and your friend Mike, Congrats!!
How deep was the water where you got the pike, any weed beds...and did you try any tip ups?
I've been on St. Clair ice fishing SO many times and have yet to get a pike. Seems like the North lake at Stoney is the only place I can land one, might have to go back there soon.
I would like to unlock the mystery of the St. Clair pike soon!!

Didn't use tip ups. Got them spearing. 6 FOW, a mile from Salt river and a mile from Cotton rd. Very few weeds laying on the bottom.
Yea, they were froze. Left during the blinding snowstorm. The wind was howling on the way back.

Nice job with the gig!! Did you have a decoy out?? Didn't find a gold kens hook in one did you?? I had one on for about 30 seceonds today before he broke the line. Only real action I had today. I was off of cotten and hiked out to the 2nd crack to see what was out there. 7 1/2'deep and a bunch of sand. Had a couple of dinks come in but no takers. Moved half way back to the pack and punched another hole, more sand. 45 minutes later and no fish, moved back between the 2 permenent shantys and caught about 25 dinks and 3 keepers that I tossed back. Fished there a little over an hour. Only 2 fish on minnows, rest came on a firetiger rapala, tipped with a 3/4" gold chain, and a strip of red ballon on a #16 trebel. Didnt see any hogs this time, but some huge gills swam by, like to hook one and see how big they are.
Anyone fish up at fairhaven today ?????????????

man, them are some nice pike.... maybe thats why the perch are in one minute then gone the next out there..... the guy next to me at metro sunday caught of all things, a big sucker, had a big gash near its tail.... had to be something big to be so ambitious.... this sucker was REALLY large. Might have to break out some tipups next time.

Tonga, I used a white wooden decoy amd my buddy uses live shiners. Occasionally I'll also use a small perch for they stay very active for a long time.
