Metro Beach 2/6/03
Fished Metro today in front of the boat docks from 10:00 to 1:30 @ caught 25 perch in the 7 to 8" range and about 4 in the 10 to 11 " range. They were hitting minnows on a white tear drop hooked thru the lips. Lost about 6 hooking them thru the back
Had one and it had to be the biggest perch I "almost caught"in my life, got it all the way up to the top of the hole, came off and I dived for it and only came up with a wet hand. Oh well.
Tried wigglers, wax worms, but only got one a wiggler.

That sounds like a pretty productive few hours. I'm planning on heading down to 19 mile tomorrow a.m. I'm just wondering why you ended up at metro. Have you heard that the fish have moved? I'm just wondering. I'd hate to make that long walk out only to pack up and drive 3 miles south.

By the time you get this you are probably fishing but I was out last night and couldn,t get back to you. No I didn,t here that they have moved but I have been fishing there the last 2 weeks and always have fair luck there. I did here yesterday when I got there from a guy that was out on the lake that they weren,t getting any so I decided to fish Metro . But I do fish all over, but do understand that you live far and want to catch some fish. Read the rest of the reports and you will get a general idea where they are catching them.
