Post Lexington 2/6/03

HI folks. Before I tell you whats been happening in Lexington I want to share my thoughts about this site. I will make it short...I know your chomping at the bit to get outside! I haven't been on this site for a terribly long time, but from the start it was obvious it was different from the rest. It didnt take long to prove itself either. Sports men and women from all over the state come to this site and share valuable, and real information, with us all. Most have never met, but talk through these forums like old buddies. Each individual with their own unique personality, and experience to offer. I clearly remember meeting many of you on a cold January morning, and since then as well. One thing strikes me about everyone I have met through this site! You are all true sports men and women, who enjoy everything about natures bounty, and then, through the internet, and the folks that put this site up and keep it running, sharing what you know with others like you. People in the village I talk to about this site ask me if its a club. Sometimes I have to think about it, then tell them...no..just a great bunch of great people, all with the same interest They are usually confused if they don't understand the power of the internet. This site has created friendships, and memories for so many of us, and there is more to come. I plan to help keep this web site up and running and hope all of you do as well. To all you folks that work, and monitor it, and to those of you that share what you know, Thank you...
Lexington ice is excellent. Fishing for steelies and browns has been slow to fair overall but Wed was good to the few fisherman that were there. A couple guys were in and said they saw some small perch swimming around too, but no takers. The perch will come in when they are ready...hope its soon.
Port Sanilac has great ice as well, and the brown fishing has been fair, but like Lexington there has not been many people on the ice. Makes it kinda hard to get a good objective report.
Keep your tip up and your bait wet! Good luck!! And Thanks!!Mike
