Default Directions

Heading North on I-75 Cross the Z-Bridge and take the Zilwaukee exit 154. Take a left at the stop sign that will be Adams Rd. Continue north a little ways take a right on Kochville RD. Kochville road will turn into Melbourne RD. You will drive past the Concreate mixing company. Parking will be along side the road.

I plan on being there around 6:30 or so.

Default Fish??

How's the fishing been lately in that part of the river??

Going out somewhere on Sunday with some friends. Would just as well make the ride up there for some Wally's as I would to St. Clair to watch the perch look at my bait!!

Is there a landmark past the cement mixing company where everyone parks?? I would like to be out there early. Is there somewhere to get bait around there??

Thanks for your help.

Fishing has been spotty thru out the river. This is a pretty good spot though. There is a place to get bait on Johnson Rd. right in zilwakee(sp). Right past the cement factory is all grass on the side of the road. You will see all the vehicles on the grass. If you have a radio, channel 8.

There is a small lot that holds maybe 5 or 6 viechles, That is where you will want to access the river at. The rest of the parking will be along the road. From the access I typically walk down stream (north) 50 yds or so. I hang out along the edge of the shipping channel on the west side of the river. As for minnows if you can bring it with you that would probably be best. There is a party store in Zilwaukee that sells bait. Slammer will have to give you directions to there.

As for fishing it has seemed to slow down this week. But this is one of the locations that I have done the best this year.

Thanks for the info.
I believe I will be there. What's been working in the past as far as bait? Pimple's, Jigging Rapala's, Jig head with minnow??
I just want to bring the right gear.

Do you guy's use tip-up's on the river for walleye or just jig??

Just jig, not tip-ups. Jigging raps blue and sliver # 5 or 7, bright jigs heads.

I'll be there for the morning. Going to the Super Snow Cross at the Dome (?) saturday evening. Anyone been fishing North of the bridge, and if so, how are you doing?

I will see you all there.
I will be there around 6 or 6:30am.
