Default Helmet

If I am pulling a dog sled with someone riding on the sled do they need to wear a helmet?

Sorry for your luck, kinda sucks that you chose to break the law, you got caught and now you have to pay for that decision.

As far as the 140 mph Arctic Cat, they'd catch up with you pretty quick as everyone knows an AC doesnt run long before it breaks down.

That will teach ya!

I bet that was the most expensive perch dinner you ever ate.

Good thing you had your ORV sticker. In Huron county they impound your machine if you don't have one. I have seen people riding golf carts and lawn tractors on the ice get tickets for no ORV sticker, and tickets for no helmets.

For those who don't know: In Michigan you are required to wear a helmet anywhere you ride an ATV. Even on private land, working on the farm, plowing your driveway, or backing it off of your trailer. There was a new bill introduced last year to allow no helmets when used for farm work.

If you are pulling a sled or trailer, the people on the sled or trailer don't need a helmet.

I agree--it sucks to be made to wear a helmet. I wear one, but I don't like being made to. Most of the time people get tickets because they forget to load their helmet or because they give someone a ride out.

It is an absolute pain in the but to wear them during deer season

Be advised that they usually catch some every year like your AC - up against a tree, abutment or another sled - Not many get a chance to pay the fine.
