With your wife being a pretty lady, are you ready for her to get her own TV show and travel all over with her?
It seems like all the pretty ladies are getting their own shows so you better be ready for the phone to start ringing.

Congrats! I don't think we have them roaming around the Thumb area. Anyone else seen them over that way?

[QUOTE=RippinLipp;2921825]Congrats on the pig down... Nice to see 1 out of the system...
But I have one question... Why did you let your wife go out with slugs and buck shot durning bow and small game season???[/QUOTE
Rippin's right:
As long as she had a small game license she has the right to shot the pig. But he asked, why did he send her out with slugs and buckshot durning small game, when the largest load you can carry is T shot. Michigan hunting rules state that for small game you can not use anything larger than T shot. You can only be in the woods with slugs and buckshot for firearm deer season!!

From a year ago I was informed here that there is no law against carrying slugs in small game season, It was posted in the law enforencemnt area of this forum where the CO,s play,, the only issue I would see is walking aruond in firearm season w slugs and only a small game license, and in waterfowl hunting, here is the link to the question i asked last year, we debated this before about hunting pigs,,

Would it be legal to carry slugs or buckshot when hunting coyotes, since it is technically small game?

She is fine to use slugs until the 9th of November. After that, they are off limits in the field.
"November 10-14
It is unlawful to carry afield or transport any rifle (including rimfire) or shotgun if you have buckshot, slug, ball loads or cut shells.
Exception: You may transport a firearm to your deer camp or to a target range during this period if the firearm is properly transported (see Transporting - Carrying Firearms and Bows and Arrows). A resident who holds a fur harvester license may carry a .22 caliber or smaller rimfire firearm while hunting furbearers or checking a trap line during the open season for hunting furbearers or trapping furbearing animals. You also may target shoot on your own property provided there is no attempt to take game."

I have pigs in my area and generally use my 30-06 to go rabbit hunting. Perfectly legal even in Zone 3 outside the restricted times for deer seasons.

Nice going Mrs. K. Scott it looks like you will need more freezer space with all the fish, venison, and now pork.

You can shoot a coyote or coon that is doing or about to do harm on your property. And you can do it with a slug if you want. As long as you have a license to be afield, and you are carrying a legal load, you can shoot a pig in the counties where pig shooting is approved.
