7 ft. sturgeon kept at 6th st.
:: Any one else catch wind of the d bag a hole that snagged this fish in the tail dragged it to shore ripped it's gills out then dragged it up to his truck and split with it. The old timer that told me about this said that everyone was telling him you've got to let it go and he said f you call the cops and took off with it. If I was there you bet your sweet ass I would have got his license number and called the DNR on him. I sure hope some how they catch him and lock his scum bag POS ass up. Sorry for the profanity but I'm very PO'ed about this.

That a&* hole is sure to be back at the scene of the crime. He will brag to many of his friends and he'll be back with more people to try to do it again. Anyone get a make and year of his truck?

Disgusting. Hopefully this will encourage some people to put the RAP line into their phones and actually use it.

What a shame.
Hard to believe the guy had an easy time lugging that thing to his truck. i have held sturgeon up to about 5.5 feet in length and they arent light. LOL
Like was already said, people need to step up to the plate and stop that kind of idiot with getting away with that.

I got pics.
:: I just got two pictures of this scum bag with the fish. I called the DNR and left a message for officer Rogers yesterday telling him I have pics of the perp. with the fish. These pics are sickening one shows him dragging the fish with the rope from his drop net ran through it's gills with blood running down it's sides. I don't know how to post pics or scan these pics to post but if someone PM's me I can meet them down town and give them to you to post. ( G you out there give me a call )

That is very sad. I hope the dirtbag gets nailed. I wonder how old that fish was to get that big? I think I would have knocked him flat on his ass if he did that infront of me.

Sounds like a fish story to me...I've caught and seen at least 20 sturgeons in the UP ranging from 20 lbs to 110 lbs and none of them were 7 feet long...If it's true it sucks and the dirt bag should be beaten with a stick....

: The story is 100% true, But now that I have the pics. I would guess it's between 6' and 6 1/2'. There was a lot of pics. taken, in one of the photos I have there are two other people snapping shots in the for-ground. I've seen less than 20 but this is not the biggest I've seen, I seen one that was all of 7ft. at the same location. There are pics. of that fish out there some where.
