Altrighty then.....thanks for the heads up my good man! Like Christmas morning as a child I wait for that moment every year. Now it is time to get down to it.
I ALMOST went out today but just getting over a bad flu and having been on White Lake all morning yesterday I opted to take it easy today. Now I am sorry I did not get out.
Hmmmm, there is time yet though.......

Thanks for the update hypox, I was hoping you were going to post soon
I'll probably wait about a week before I start searching around here.

Are you located NW, NE, SW, SE? I usually find them up NW area opening weekend of trout, I hope the same holds this year.

Yep I even had a dandelion bloom today. If the weather forecast stays close to the 10 day forecast right now they will be going strong.

Man, I'm not going to see them for about 1-1/2 to 2 weeks here. I took a walk and the ground temps are still between 42-46. Congrats on the finds.

Nice find there. What part of the state are you at? The NW woods are still full of snow where I am at. I think, if we get rain, and these temps stay in the 50s I will get a meal in the next week or so. Maybe around the trout opener. I am dreaming a brook trout and black morel feast!

Nice job on your first 2009 Morels. I'll have to get out this week and take another look. What Part of the state did you find them in?

morels
earliest I've ever found around here was April 25, but doubt that will happen this year. Much of the ground is still frozen, there's still ice on the lake, and we need rain, badly.
Congrats on your find, with the rain you're supposed to get today, there will be more. Send that rain up here.

nice find. I went out and did some scouting over the weekend. Didn't look very hard for shrooms, figuring I wouldn't find any yet. But took a couple of quick walks in some new areas I wanted to check out. One looks great. Nice little hillside with a bunch of popples, and then drops down to a wet area with some blue berries. I walked down to the low area and kicked a couple of grouse and found some great looking woodcock area too. So even if I don't find any shrooms, I've got a new bird hunting spot to check this fall!
