Default Eagles gathering

For anyone interested, at the onset of cold weather every year, bald eagles gather in Midland along the Tittabawassee river south of town. I saw approximately a dozen tonight. They roost in the trees along the river at the corner of saginaw rd and salzburg road.

Last winter I counted 22 I believe at one time. A few stay around all winter, some move on. A mixture of mature and immature birds. I think the MCV pond and all the waterfowl available brings them here.
