Default Larkyn's second buck

Well, she did it again. As a reminder, the first pic is the buck young Larkyn killed during the youth hunt, and below it is the one she killed today.

What a testimony to what habitat management can do on a 300 acre farm. Here is a quote from Larkyn's Mom, who went on the hunt with her today:

"She was especially proud of this hunt because she planned the whole thing herself, from choosing the stand, the approach, the timing, and talking me into going while Larry was at work. He had said that she couldn't go today because the weather was too bad! We didn't tell him we were going until Larkyn called and told him that she got the buck."

I wonder how many grown men decided to stay inside today while Larkyn talked her Mom into going out into this nasty weather to kill a monster? By the way, she passed on several smaller bucks before deciding, on her own, that this was a 3.5 year old and was worthy of her attention. I am in awe of this young lady and her family.

This family and farm in Hillsdale Conty will be featured in an edition of "Quality Whitetails" coming out later this year.

Congratulations on some fine bucks, but go hunt some public land, then let's see how "Young Larkin" does. Tons of hunters were out today.
Sorry if this post seems bitter, but the poster is portraying "Young Larkin" as some prodigy hunter when she is simply some privileged girl who gets to hunt one of Dady's stands.
and your avatar pic is from where??? texas is it? looks like some priveleged guy gets to pay money to hunt a ranch? gimme a break, just because the land is managed doesn't mean the deer are tame. Just because you don't have 300 acres of managed private land to hunt and the DNR cares more about license sales than management, shouldn't take away from her success. my money says that if YOU were the one with two bruiser bucks, the pics would be on here.
And yes, she is a prodigy, and i applaud her dad for keeping her out of the mall and/or out from infront of the TV. more kids need to spend time outside rather than parents using "electronic babysitters".

so go buy land and manage it. don't discredit her because her dad does things the right way. imagine how you'd feel if it was your daughter or the daughter of a close friend.

What a doll that Larkyn is. Good show!

Incidentally, no deer were harvested at the farmlegend ranch today.

I'm happy for Larkin. She has tagged two trophy deer this year; better than most people do in a lifetime.

I dont care who you are when you drop the hammer on bucks like that it makes your knees turn to jelly.

I bet Larkyn helps a bunch on there property. I bet she scouts too. I bet she practices with her gun too. I hear of a lot of guys "missing" with a gun. How that happens I don't know. She is very lucky and skilled obviously.

In case you didnt read the original post - "She was especially proud of this hunt because she planned the whole thing herself, from choosing the stand, the approach, the timing"

bioactive, please tell Larkyn congratulations!! She has accomplished a feat any hunter would be proud of. Those are 2 AWESOME bucks. Great work Larkyn.
