Hey my buddy and I are thinking of taking Friday off and making a trip to the Lake. Can anyone tell me if the ice is in good enough condition to make the trip?

It should be good along the usual popular shoreline areas from the Spillway all the way up the top end at the Raft and Sand Bar.

Only glitch is that there was a decent sized pressure crack in front of the Selfridge launch site last Sunday morning and with the mild temps these past couple of days I doubt that it has healed up.

You might want to check the ice reports in the ice fishing forums located just above these warm water fishing forums as listed on the main page.

A picture of the pressure crack at Selfridge from last Sunday.
