Ausable 1-28-01

Managed to get away for an afternoon outing on the ausable. We put the boat in at bunyan town and hit the holes on the way up. Talked with one other boat that was on the river they had no fish either. We spooked 2 fish while motoring up. We fished spaw,waxworms, and even pushed plugs threw several good deep runs. No rips.

Anyone having any luck up there lately?

hey grizzly ill be up in that are next week on monday going to do some scouting and ask some ? on whats hittting and may be drift some spawn.

Hey wolverine, i would definetely try upstream near the dam. There was little pressure in the downtown area. Im thinking with the low clear water that is there the fish are not holding down low. I am hoping to get up there this thursday. Will post if i go.

I'm going to take a trip up there on Tuesday I think. I probably will spend the majority of the day fishing the upper. and then behind the bank in the late afternoon.
