Water is way low, what else is new. Water temps stayed around 63 the whole time we were there. Didn't have a hard time finding fish, just a hard time getting them to bite. Water is very clear and we found the best fishing to be early in the day till around ten AM. Decided it was too warm for hunting and ended up fishing every chance we got. Weather was beautifull and the company couldn't be beat! We did have to put up with quite a few snaggers now and then. Some got extremely rude! Had to put up with the same ole bunch of snagging pooh poohers that give me funny looks cause I'm actually trying to get the fish to bite. But in the end I feel we prevailed. Biggest fish landed was a twelve pound female, wish at least one of those snaggers could have seen me land her, but every time they came around we couldn't seem to get the fish to bite. Hmmmmmmmm, wonder why? Also got a ten pound male that was fresher than fresh. Both came from the same hole on different days. Lost a couple real nice ones that nearly jerked the rod out of my hand. Man that sure feels good! And landed quite a few jacks, and a couple small steelhead, or large rainbows whichever the case may be. All in all we did more fishing than catching but had a good time doing it. Don't see anything wrong with that!
Oh, BTW, the runs a far from over, the female I caught still had tight eggs.
Good fishing every body! See yahs on the river!
