Fished the big waters this past Saturday night and Sunday morning with some success. The White fly hatch is still producing fish on warm nights. The mornings are slowerer, but if you like dries, tie on a size 14 or 16 caddis (brown or olive). There are some decent browns that hit the caddis. The rainbows hit the white flies more at night but caught a beauty of a 14 inch brown on a white fly Saturday night.

Great to finally start getting some reports from the holy waters on this site. Keep up the good work.

Fortunately with the warm weather across the state last week, the white flies (Ephoron)were fairly abundant below Mio on the AuSable again this past weekend. Fished Sunday evening and caught about 7 fish and lost many more. Fish still hit caddis until it got dark and then the ephoron started emerging. Unfortunately the cool weather that moved in monday morning may bring the dry fly fishing season to an end. Time to get out my salmon rod! Tight lines- Ryan
