Fish

Can someone tell me how, when, and where to fish for whitefish? It's something I've always wanted to try but haven't a clue how to get started. Any information would be appreciated.

In the Fall they come in to the Ausable and they catch them off the pier in Oscoda. They also get them off the pier in Tawas. steelhead eggs and wax worms are good baits.
