I usually keep my reports quiet about the Rifle and some other smaller rivers but I have fished this river like 4 times since my last report.
The suckers are in big-time so If you plan on fishing you better bring plenty of flies or whatever baits you use.
As far as the steelhead action: The redds are FINALLY starting to show up. So is the fishing pressure!
This afternoon there was a pretty solid stonefly hatch and a few trout were rising to them!
That's about as much information as I want to give to the public(It should be enough). I heard from a reliable source that fish were starting to show up on the gravel on the Ausable. I'll be checking that out Friday, Saturday and Sunday. In the meantime POST SOME REPORTS ON THE AUSABLE I know someone is fishing there.

WEEZER, I think you handled that report very nicely. Don't want a stream to get whacked by fishing pressure.
