Default A "Crappie" Day Fishing...

Well, as I said before, Crappies have always seemed to elude me while I was fishing. Phogcutter, RJones, Amos and I went for a Evening Float on a Local Favorite Lake and My Goal was CRAPPIE!
I ended up with a nice Dinner that is now in my Tummy! I had one crappie all the way to the boat that was at least 15 inches and it spit the hook! I also caught alot of Gills and two nice Bass by accident. My last cast I had a HUGE fish on that never surfaced, probally was a Bass and it spit the hook! What a "Crappie" Day!

Here is the pic, I forgot the Camera so I had to take them at home. The two biggest are Complimets of Phoggcutter, the rest were mine. Nice to finally meet ya Ron and good to see RJones and Amos Again!

Were you guys floating, wading, boating or what?

I too got my first crappie last weekend. That, and the donation of the other guys, turned into a nice snack. Crappie are good eating! I think they're _almost_ as good as blue gill, and easier to make a meal, being bigger.

And some of us have our Secret "Honey Holes"...and don't give them out To just anyone. SFK and Amos are two I have known awhile and I trust to only fish this "Lake" Alone or with me...C&R on all but Crappies and Gils...SRRY! Some things aren't told to everyone....

I understand completely.....was it a private or public lake? in which county?

I caught some nice ones today on Clair. Supposed to have gotten the email with pics....but it hasnr shown up yet. Biggest was only 13 1/2", but we didnt find them until we had to leave, so we didnt fish them long. I will be out there this week after them though.

All the Lakes I fish are Public and in Macomb, Oakland, or Lapeer County, unless of course I take a trip "Up North"
