Fishing for women, I mean steelies and crappies/4-16

If you don't care to read my river report, go down to the next paragragh.

yesterday I hit the river in search of some steelies. i fished many different ways. Hooked nothing. I also hit the dam and seen a kid racking in the sucker's. I then started fishing for suckers but got skunked. I was surprized to see that 60% of people fishing were teens i also saw some good looking girl fishing for suckers and one that was a little older. Man mickey, you shoulda been there I was going to head down river but then decided to hit a small lake that I got my huge crappie out of. river is really blown out still.



I then hit the lake and started fly fishing. Caught a nice 11.5 incher right away. I then had a HUGE fish hit my popper but missed the hook. i don't know if it was a huge bass or a small pike. It was pretty cool seeing the crappies on the bottom peeking there head's out at my popper. 1/2 hour before dusk, I caught on more crappie on a worm 5 feet down that was 12 inches. Both crappies were full of minnows.


In conclusion, the river is going to be done in a few weeks in my opinion and it will be time to hit warm water fish alot. I think I will put in one more trip.
