i dunno, with MY luck, sometimes the hat is all i have(ben and gomer will agree with that), my now retired favorite hat cought me some of my best fish ever-including a summer run steelie on about 60 yards of line-i almost lost it last spring at cedar point, i accidentally wore it on a ride and when i went down the first hill on a roller coaster i felt it flopping around, reached back and it landed in my hand!I retired it soon after.

Hat? Always, keeps my brains from frying (at least I think so). Green with a big S on the front.

Good old John Deere hat. With a lot of bug spray on it for the skeeters. Even a little deep woods cutter paste on it. I figure it gets better every year.

My favorite (lucky) fishing hat is a must for all serious fishing adventures.. It was lost for a while, seems a fellow angler who heard of its mystic powers "borrowed" it for a while. It did not work for him at all, the hat was returned this past winter.. and I have it back now.. I feel much more confident when fishing with it!!

My favorite is a GI Desert Camo (series II ?) Boonie hat given to me by my brother-in-law. It was with him during Desert Storm. It is only to be worn when fishing, sitting around the fire when camping, or when setting up camp in a torrential downpour.
Wearing it while mowing the lawn or wrenching on the car is strictly forbidden.

I have had many favorite hats over the years but I really trash them up quickly. I do have a favorite sweatshirt that I really like to wear. I have killed 10 bucks, and caught many fish with that shirt on.

I have (2) hats, one for hunting & one for fishing.
Never hit the woods or water without them!

Howdy-
My favorite hat is the one I'm not wearing......Don't like hats, and think I look dorky in 'em. (O.K., dorkier!) Only wear them when required by weather, etc. Maybe you guys will change my mind for me, though......

I have 2 favorite hats. The one in my avatar and my Michigan Sportsman hat. When my luck starts getting bad with the one, I switch over to the other and I start catching fish. The luck is going with the hat in my avator now. I just caught a nice steelie Monday with it on.
