Erie Report 4-4 to 4-7
Hit Lake Erie out of Bolles Thursday thru Sunday fishing all day every day. Fished Mainly 8 to 16 fow moving a lot and marking fish all over the lake. Water temps were usually 38 in the morning and up to 42 degrees in the afternoons. The bite started around 10 am slow trolling gold, black/silver, and gray Thundersticks, and Husky Jerks behind boards.
Thursday we hit 5 fish 8 lb was the largest. Lost a 30 inch plus behind the boat.
Friday we got four including several in the 7-8 lb class.
Saturday we struck gold. We landed 14 including my catch of a 31" 11 lb fish I will mount, a 29.5" 9.5 lb, a 27" 7 lb male, and another 26" 6 lb male. One other 30" fish caught and released by my buddy.
Sunday we got 7 including one 11 lb fish that measured 30.5" and was released. I landed a 29.5" 10.5 lb fish we released.
All in all best outing of a lifetime. We fished our butts off, paid our dues, put our time in, and got the ultimate reward. Will post pix tomorrow unless someone wants to E-mail me and resize and post the pix for me.

Great job STEINFISHSKI, sounds like a blast. I only have had a day like that once in my 40+ years of fishing. 3 of us fished a tournament in Erieau Ont. and brought in a limit of 18 fish with a total weight of 135 lbs. with the biggest being 11 lbs. Looking forward to your pics!

Nice catch Steinfishski!! I'm heading down to Port Clinton early wed . morning to fish for 4-5 days if the weather allows. I may stop by Bolles and fish on the way back home. I would think the fishing on the reefs out of Port Clinton should be really good by the middle of this week with the temps they are calling for. How far were you running your baits behind your boards?
GOOD FISHING

Great job Ski!! If you don't mind, what depth were you running your stickbaits? Did you try pulling any spinners near the bottom? Thanks!

STEINFISHSKI, Great job on some real hogs!
I too would like a few more details, please.
What depth of water did you find them in?
Those pics make me want to do my "shakedown" out of Bolles!

YEE-HAA!!!
Thats the kind of news I like. I allmost have the repairs on my boat finished, and Bolls Harbor is my favorite spot to launch from. Just cruze from one flotilla of boats to another and keep an eye on the sonar. You never know whats going to happen.

Nice fish Stein.
I used to keep my boat down there. Spring is killer.

Nice Pics Stein.
Hey gonefishing, when was that you had a good day out in eario****SP canada? The last time I was out there, the fishing stunk, all we got was 1 9 lber and a 15 incher. I was hoping for a steelie all day but never got one. My uncle who own's the boat said my fish was the last biggest he has seen and he does not catch that many walleye outta there anymore?
