I just got a call from a family member telling us my oldest son Adam, is in the Michigan out of doors magazine. On page 19 I am told. I have not seen it yet so maybe I should not admit he is mine!
He was with his grandfather up in Petoskey fishing by the bear.

First he kills a big buck last year, now he gets his picture in the magazine. I think I can see his head growing as we speak.

I seen the picture in the local Petosky paper during the gun season. It's a nice-un. You should be proud.

He shot it during the early youth hunt right?

He was not in the Petoskey paper with his deer. He was in the local Birch Run Herald last year with his deer. The March issure of Mich out of doors with his trout.

It's a good picture. When I saw it the other day it brought back many memories as my first steel came from the mouth of the bear a couple (30) years ago. You should be very proud of this young man

Actually, it is not his first steelhead. He has caught quite a few. I think what he meant was... his first fish fishing with spawn and drifting. He has caught them trolling and still fishing. When he got home with the fish I gave him a hard time telling him it was a baby. I never knew he would be in a magazine.

I got him hooked from the first moment he could wade. For about six years, I let him land as many of my fish as I had landed. I would hook them and hand him the rod.

The boy eats and sleeps fishing, I am proud of him.

I hope to take him on a Kansas deer hunt this year. Can you say spoiled kid!

Winter, then you remeber the way it was before the fish ladder? I liked it better then.
