Lake Michigan Guided Needed

A buddy of mine is looking to take his niece and nephew out on a salmon charter in August. He will be staying just north of Elk Rapids and was looking for a guide. I am not familiar with the guides in the NW part of the state. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Ludington or Manistee in August is gonna be your best bet. I dont really have any personal recomendations beyond the big name guys that consistantly catch fish out of there. Dont have any perosnal experiance on the boats, but I would look into these ports for consistant good fish and catches in august. CHeck out Ludington Charter Boat Assoc. Website.

Bingo.

Look at Leland and Frankfort also. They are a bit closer to Elk Rapids than manistee and ludington.
