Default Need to get boat fixed....HELP

I have a 1999 (19 1/2') Starcraft that has some wiring problems. I don't know if the mice got into it and ate the wires, but my GPS and fish finder are not working. I am looking for recommendations on were I can take it locally to get it serviced. I also need to get the motor(115 merc) tuned up.

Any help on were I can take it would be appreciated.

Two weeks and I'll be on the water!!!!!

Befofe you give some dealer a bunch of money, 1 Check the fuze, and see if there is power to the battery side of the fuze holder. 2 Check the ground wire for your Electronics, Battery, ect. Good Luck

Kingfisher,

If you already checked those things out, and all are good, they will probably just run a new wire.... If you dont want to give the dealer your money, I can give you a hand with it..... Its actually pretty easy!!!!!

IFN, thanks, I may take you up on that! I just want to make sure everything is running smooth before I put it in the water. I always have that fear of "floating" to Canada.

I would like a Merc dealer to check over and tune up the motor! There's nothing worse than getting on the lake and having motor failure.......right Ralph? LOL

LOL, I hear ya.

Marc, it sounds like they wired your electronics into the same circuit. I'll come over and trace it back. I'm sure it's just a simple fix. (famous last words)

As far as the motor, take it in soon. Service will be secondary to rigging new boats sold at the shows.
