World Record Lake Trout
While on my way back from LA to Reno today (wedding) my wife and I stopped at a small restaurant on hwy. 395 in Bishop, CA, called "Jacks", where I noticed some large fish mounted on the wall. In addition to a CA record 26 lb. Brown Trout, I was amazed to find this fish shown below. I presume it's authentic. How it wound up on the wall of an obscure diner in a one-horse desert town east of the Sierras is beyond me, but check out this football-shaped hog. Looks like the mud chickens are kicking some butt out west, and taking no prisoners.

World record lake trout?
The trout is a very nice one, but it is definetly not the world record unless it is a line IFGA line class record. Michigan's current state record is 61-8

what was the world record in 1989.
If I recall correctly the michigan state record was caught less than ten years ago.
Whos to say it wasn't a world record when it was caught back in 89....unless of course there are some other dates I don't know about.
Nice fish anywho....
