Post Wanted...fishing boat/motor/trailer

Got the green light to buy a boat. Looking to spend 2-3k. I live in the Grand Rapids area but will drive for the right boat. Prefer 14-16 ft with trailer and at least 25 horse.

Every day on my way home I drive past a really nice rig, It's on m-97 (Grosbeck) just north of I-696 in Roseville. it looks to be about a 16' modified vee with a ton of freeboard, and a Merc (115?) it also has a duck blind frame on it. It has been there for two months with a sign saying $2,900 OBO. If you would like me to get more info, let me know.......

My Buddy has a 16'Blue Fin DeepV wit a 30HP Mariner (that you could eat off of), bow mount trolling motor, side console plus more.

It has been used less than a dozen times in the last 3 years.

Last I knew he was asking $3200.

P.M. me with your email address and I will send pics.

Mike, I stopped and looked at that boat yesterday, it's a steel hull! The duck blind is welded on. It needs a floor, a seat behind the console, and the prop needs to be reworked. I saw no evidence of flotation, thing would sink like a rock. (Not real desireable in 40 degree water). I'd give him $800.00..............Sure looks good from the street though.

Thumbs Up

Thanks for the input and leads guys. I got approved Friday for the loan and have 4 good leads on a boat. In my price range I found 14, 16, 17, and 19 foot models mostly loaded with accessories and from 25 to 120 hp motors. Will take some trips and zero in on one that suits me best.
