Question What is in a Name?

I have only had my boat a couple of weeks. I was thinking of putting a name on it this summer when it can be painted. I was leaning towards "Stoned Fly" or the "SS Clouser Minnor" (a play on Gilligan's Island) mostly because I enjoy tying flys.

I really liked the post in the boat name about the boat named "I/O Her" but wouldn't duplicate the name. Any suggestions. All are welcome.

Hey, how about the "Roe Boat"

BTW, I would move that boat up a few and never tow it with the motor, not that you would.

How about the "lucky me", or the "green caddis"? I think I'd just wait till it names itself. It will you know? Just take some time and get aquainted with it and something will come to mind.

Thanks Shoeman, that is catchy. The pic is right before I backed it down the launch. I empty it before trailering it. Being fiberglass I am afraid that I might hit a bump and something bounce putting a hole in it.

And now that I look at the pic, you are right, it does need to be moved forward.

Default Hey Shoeman

I took your advice on the moving the boat up. I was only able to gain about 4" though because the ring at the front of the boat that connects to the crank line is too high. When the boat is pulled forward the ring hits and really needs to be moved higher but I am not experienced enough at fiberglass repair to make that move. There seems to be a large pitch upward with the front of the boat that causes problems. The 4" should help for now though.

By the way, I like the name you gave. Unless the boat names itself before summer I am going with that.
