Default open water

The last time I was there was on Sun.(5th)and there was good amount of open water. I don't know how deep the water is in that area. Ice was 10" thick where I ice fished. but with the warm weather and the rain it will be gone soon. Hope that helps.

Hi all fished stoney today from 8:30 till 1:00 3 pike all around 20 " caught, 2 walleye caught and lost they were mostly foul hooked they are just laying in area that I fished, probably would have been better a hour earlyer, I may give it a go 1 more time before it shuts down on the 15th.

Question

Len - Were you fishing on the ice, or on the water, or on the shore?

I was there on Satuday to run the dog and there was 85% open water and what ice there was was going fast. I am sure it is prettty much gone my now.

That was my first time there and I was really impressed. I have never fished theer bu may have to give it a try. I didn't know you could get Walleye there.

What do most people fish for there?

Big Smile stoney creek

Hi got one I only fish this lake from shore,I pretty much fish all around the lake, this might sound stupid but I like to have a light wind in my face if you try this you will see the bait fish, the biggins are behind them also I mostly fish the last couple of hours before or right after dark.
Good Luck
Len

I like the area between southdam and boat launch, north dam can be pretty bizzy with hords of people catching each others lines, and the persons who go out and put 2 or three poles out while there children are running all around or casting over everyones lines.
