I got my first buck with a crossbow Fri. afternoon. It was running does. The crossbow shoot was broadside 23 yds. double lunged. I haven't been able to find the arrow there was line on the ground where it traveled. I will use a metal detector Sunday Afternoon. I was using Mussys 100 grain broke the rib on exit. Also the deer never moved until hit. I hunt from the ground I'am 71 years old. I quit climbing trees since being able to use a crossbow. Thank you Michigan. PS. the crossbow shoots better with v sticks. Also guys i have shoot maybe 500 times with the crossbow. Honestly shooting offhand i was better with my compound 20 to 25 yds.

Congratulations on the buck. It is wonderful that they finally let more people use the crossbows. Too many out here with bad shoulders, wrists, etc. and age has to be a factor too. I'm still climbing trees but not sure for how much longer. It gets to be a bit much setting the stands.
