I to, was looking at the Quad 400 as the one to buy..

Barnett 400
Just my two cents, I bought a Barnett Quad 400 about two and half months ago for my girlfriend. The two reasons I bought it was price and the built in cranking device. Like many others I purchased it from Dunhams and it was not assembled. After asking they were more than happy to take care of it.
I do agree with others about the scope and scope mount. I will be sure to replace with a better one. But once I got it sighted in it has shot very well. Also the cranking device is a bit cumbersome at first but you get used to it.
Over all for the price we are very happy with it. She killed her first bow-kill deer earlier in the season and the enjoyment she got from that was priceless.
