Manitoba hunting information

I have been throwing around the idea of possibly going to Manitoba for a goose/duck hunt in fields next year, and I'm looking for some information from some of the veterans that have already been there. So I'm just going to start firing questions out, Do I need a guide? If so, can you recommend one. If you can do it yourself, do you have a location you can recommend? What are the rules about hunting private property? Is it difficult getting premission to hunt private property? I there a land owner where you might stay that can recommend?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm a vetern of ND so those are the same questions, I had when I went there for the first time. We have given up on ND with all the private land locked up. I will keep all posted on what we come up with.

you don't need a guide.
getting permission is as easy as tracking down the owner.
as far as locations... get on google maps and look for good water w/ surrounding agriculture... and then research the area. that is how i did it and we had a spectacular trip.
