8pt and 13pt respectively. His two biggest bucks to date. 1st sit of the season. Afternoon hunt. From the ground no less. 37 minutes apart. My buddies 1st double. He called in both. Pulled the 13 off 4 does. Very proud of him. Kept his cool and made good decisions.

It's good to reconnect with old friends. Thank you for the kind words guys. I've missed you too. I've slowed down a little bit, not much, but a little. Age is starting to catch up with me lol But, I'm still out there doing my thing, albeit not as hardcore as I once was. I have an old buck, a...

Hi guys. It's been a very long time since I've visited here. Was on the phone with Shoeman last night ( Sorry I woke you up dude, well not really lol ) and he asked that I stop in and say hello to everybody. Raining here and I'm tuning up a few deer calls, so, I thought what the hell. It's...

That hunt was exactly that............a true hunt. You guys worked hard and stuck with it. I'm proud of the way Jen hung in there and gave it her all. I was proud of her as Im sure you are too. :) Congrats on a great bird ! I had a great time hunting with you guys and look forward to sharing a...

Of the time I saved Stump Sitter's ass during a spring tornado .......... Put my clients behind me, shielding them with my own body while I stared the beast down. Sideways rain, hail, 70mph. winds , the whole schebang. And us in the woods in a Turkey tent with front row seats. Same thing just...

Thanks. :) But, I hesitate to go into any great detail other than the basics anymore on how I hunt, call or track. The last time I tried to help someone with their tracking skills and suggested a few things to improve their chances of recovering a lost deer I was crucified. Called a dikhead...

They went to nest. With as weird as this season has been, they aren't playing by the rules, so we need to adjust. Usually between 10 and 1 are golden for wandering Toms. Lunch at 2:30 and back in the blind by no later that 3:30ish. The hens will be back out with the Toms for a quick bite to...

I've never seen a season like this. That warm weather HAD to have screwed up the Gobblers. There's no other explaination. Very few gobbles on the roost, if any. But, they were there. Tom's don't need to gobble if they are with hens. Some will, but not like before a regular season starts. I...

Was wondering. It makes a difference sometimes. Mature Toms will attack a jake more readily than another mature bird, especially if there are more than one intruding Gobbler. Was just curious how they acted comming in on a mature Tom. Classic hunt. :) Great job on letting the caller do it's...

I'm impressed !! And I don't impress easily.....lol :) He's a solid 3 yr. old bird.............. maybe even 4. Luring that old Tom into gun range , especially during a season like we've been having is quite a feat. Good job son !!!!! Did you do any calling to get him in ? I see a fan behind...

Very cool. That's hardcore hunt'in dude. Congratulations my friend. Great bird and pics ! We need to get together for a hunt someday........... :coolgleam BTW, we got creamed yesterday. There were birds, but not even a single gobble. ( That I could hear. ) 30 - 50 mph sustained winds. I...

In a group of birds with multiple Gobblers, I usually only see one at full strut, the boss tom. Personally, a jake at full strut is the only deke I use now. Has worked well. Worth a try tho.

Naw, nothing ruffles my feathers much on here anymore. Why should it ? :) For example, look at your rant. Here you are having to point out my typo's because you lack anything intelligent to rant about. Your last rant doesn't make any sense, your sentence structure is 2nd grade level and so is...
