Went to a close-by fishing hole last night,to find someone had dumped their job waste in it.

Where is that? What road? has anyone notified the DNR or the county road commision (could cause damage to the bridge if it were to rain hard)???

You need to contact the DNR Immediately!!! Unfortunately because this happens more than you would think, they investigate illegal dumping all the time. And they make some real good arrests. They need to know.....

I,contacted the county sherriff and the Deputy who came out said he would contact the DNR.
I'm so sick of this crap.I,live in a really beautiful rual area, except that we get alot of low-life scum.People are constantly dumping Tires, couches, bags of trash, and you name it.
Just around the corner,in my trapping partner's field, someone dropped off 3 barrels with used transmission and motor oil, last fall.
This is probably the 5th time in the last 2 years that someone dumped construction/demolition debris in this spot. Here and the other bridges nearby, too.
I,hope I see them sometime. :bash:

Even some of the fishermen are slobs.I wish they would quit it before the land-owners quit letting us fish there. Most are pretty decent about it now,but I don't expect it to last too much longer. :smile-mad

O K; I'll get off my soapbox, now.Just needed to VENT.

Whenever i go deep into some of the State hunting land I always run across some bonfire pit with plastic cups and trash littered all around. Makes me sooo mad. Leave nothing behind. I hunt one area where every one uses an old tree as a target. i swear that tree has about 1/2 of it shot out of it. I'm surprised it isn't dead with all the lead that's got to be in it. Also there must be a trash bag full of spent shells laying around. I don't know about anyone else here, but I ALWAYS pick up my spent shells and take them out with me.

Yup, when fleeing the bank I always pick up my spent shells... finger prints ya know! LOL!!! Oh, and don't just throw those empty beer/soda cans overboard when fishing... fill em up with water so they sink to the bottom!! LOL!!1

I am of course kidding, and have to agree with everyone.... if you pack it in, pack it out. I've NEVER left anything in the woods or in the water. Heck, I don't even throw spent or cut fishing line overboard as I've seen lots of people do... and I had to replace prop shaft seals last season because I got 20 yards of mono wrapped up in the prop! grrrrrrr....

Yep, I've been know to pick up & pack out trash that didn't belong to me. There when I arrived, but not there when I left. If I have something to stuff it in and transport (without using my pockets), I will clean up an area before leaving it. "Especially" fishing line, and those 6-pack plastic can/bottle thingies!

Follow-up to make sure they did contact the DNR. Seriously, they have some pretty good tricks at identifying these scumballs by digging through the debris. Saw a report where they tracked one illegal dumpsite up north somewhere by the batch number on some discarded material...tracked it back to the buyer somehow. So it is possible. Just takes a lot of effort on their part.
