Guys - I have an issue with my two GSPs digging in my yard this year. It actually began last year, but was some what spotty. This year, they are digging the hell out of the yard. They have toys outside and a pool. I cannot seem to catch them in the act, but it is getting pretty bad.

Any ideas on how to curve this behavior?

Thanks!

One thing that seemed to work for me is to put their crap in the spot where they are digging and just try to keep up for a few days and see if it helps. It took about two weeks and my dog stopped digging. They also might be digging for something like grubs or other insects. . .grubx might help if that is the case.

Good luck.

Bury the crap. Works wonders. Unfortunatly they will find a new spot, but sometimes they get tired of smelling crap where they dig and give up.

I did the poop thing too....it worked...just bury it where they've been digging...digging will stop

Ever kick the dog right in the ribs when they are doing it? Sometimes that is allit takes...............KIDDING here.

The crap being buried does work although it has been 2 years since my problem with it I was in the yard yesterday and it looks as it I may have to bury some again :dizzy: Damn dogs ya gotta love em

Nothing makes a dog think "Diggin' Sucks" more than hiding inside the sunroom and waiting for him to start digging and zapping him good with the E-Collar. You don't have to deal with Crap holes either

That also works you just need to be patient and have a lot of beer while you watch then you almost hope for them to dig though

Exercising your dog physically and mentally may help a bunch too... Kayla only does the digging thing if she's been out in the yard for more than 5 minutes... after that assume she's digging or on the pool cover!! :xzicon_sm
