Fished Erie out of Sterling from 7:30 to 2:30 for the opener. Only able to get a few silver bass in the bay. Moved out to 19 fow between the Banana Dike and Fermi and was able to take 7 `eyes. 4 were between 17 1/2 and 20 inches, the 5th was about 16 and was released so I could keep fishing and 2 were undersized. 4 came on a rainbow trout colored harness w/ a gulp crawler, 1 on a chartruese/orange harness w/berkley power crawler and 2 on a gold w/black back hotntot. All baits trolled behind inline boards. Water temps ranged from 65 in the bay to 59 in the main lake. Brought 4 home and quickly filleted them.
