How is the water depth? Do they have a decent ramp? Is there any problems dumping a 17ft. boat in there?

Just take your time and don't try to go on plane till 5 foot. Its a nice location to put in at as your close to the pinnconning bar and not far from the black hole. Just take your time. I learned the hard way as there is rock mixed in with the sand. Goodluck out there.

Were is Gambil's launch? I went out of Pinconning River launch and the boat channel was so weed choked, it was bogging down a 225HP. It was only 2 ft deep too. Also, the numerous sand bars blocking entrance to the river make it almost impossible to get in and out. Let me tell you, being stuck on a sand bar a half mile off shore in a thunderstorm was not fun at all! Luckily the combination of 30mph winds and the extra half inch of water from the storm, we were blown off the bar. Interesting day on the pond to say the least.

Its south of there about 2 miles. I believe if you watch for the wooden orange boat just past deer acres you would turn at that road. I believe coggins road. Pinnconning is a nightmare even for smaller boats. 10 years ago when we had water it was not to bad. Another option is great lakes marina. They have a really nicely marked channel. They are north of pinnconning.

I am not sure on the spelling, but I believe Gambil's is at the end of Newenburg road. I just remeber it is the first road north of Deer Acres.

Last year Gambill's was well marked channel it was just not too wide. If you see another boat coming in or out just wait then head thru. I will be launching there Saturday weather permitting, will be on channnel 68.

They launch 20ft boats in there daily. The channel is narrow, but marked well, just use caution and go slow until you are out to about 4 1/2ftw and run straight out before cutting to the right or left and you''ll be fine. Another peice of advice would be don't launch there on a strong west wind as the water level always goes done and you might not be able to get back in.
