Well, he's out... church function tonight. Do they have a minimum age for this tourney? I know a 14 year old who's pretty good at catching the lunkers (see my Glen Lake thread for pics!).

Starts at 6:30 I believe.. but you want to be there a little early to register and get in the water. Weigh in is at 9:30. I forget the entry fee... and I was just to Gander yesterday to pick up the sheet with the schedule and rules... it's at home of course. I think it's $20 a boat entry fee.

Pretty breezy out right now... hope it dies down some.

I have a hawg hunt tonight, one fish wins all. Same rules or more than one fish for your tourny? I wish ours was 3 fish per boat but it is a hawg hunt. We'll have 30+ boats every Wed. $10 for big bass/boat and %100 payback. Have won 8 or 9 of them in the last 4-5 years.

What lake do you do this on?

Lakes w/in 30-40 miles of Reed City. We fish Cadillac(fiance weighed our big fish last night, 3.19lbs :) ) Missaukee, Rose Lake, and Martiny. We fish each lake three times throughout the summer. There were 35 boats last night and a lot of fished weighed. We were fourth out of the 35. Had 5 fish that weighed but you only weigh one. Was a great evening on the water.

How much did big bass weigh?
I left before final tally.

The hawg hunt sounds interesting.
Too bad its so far away.
I might be able to make some of the Martiny Lake events.
Can you get me a schedule?

thedude

6.9lbs was first
i had 6.2 for second
my actual weight was around 10lbs but 3 were half-weight because of my redneck livewell.

Glugger, you should have stuck around for 10 more minutes..... they drew your sheet for the gift certificate! And no, I'm NOT kidding.

We missed the check in.... everyone was leaving just as we pulled up to the ramp so we didn't get to officially weigh in... I caught 2 keepers... total weight of 2.075 lbs. Wouldn't have been last, but it wouldn't have gotten us any money. We caught at LEAST 10 fish that were 13 or 13.5 inches.... oh so close!!!

So Thedude, what were you using on the other side of the dam?? :D

You have to be there to collect the prize?

waterfoul
06-02-2005, 09:40 AM
Yup. Must be present to win. Bummer for you.

Big bass got $120!! That's nothing to sneeze at! And I know glugger had one on that was big enough to win that, and so did I.... not that it would have mattered for me.

And Dude, it's not like anybody else can get into "your spot" anyway... maybe I'll fish from a sea doo next time so I can get back in there! LOL!!

If anyone found a bag of 4" white Senkos floating around the lake last night.... they are MINE!! Bought a brand new bag... used 1 worm out of it... lost it to a fish. Never saw the bag again. Tore the boat apart looking for the bag... nothing. Must have gone overboard when we changed spots. Oh well... someone got themselves 9 brand new senkos. :smile-mad
