My son and I took 10 walleye on the bay yesterday. Fishing started pertty slow for us. We kept moving around and finally found a good concentration of fish. We lost a few other legal fish and caught a lot of 13-14 inch walleye also. The ten fish we kept ranged from 17-23 inches.
Crawler harnesses behind in-line weights has been the program for me.

Good Fishing

Might be going out theretoday. Just wondered if you wanted to give a location where the fish were?

TKpolasek, what the heck is going on with the crawler bite on the bay this year. We went through 10 dozen crawlers over the weekend. The bite was nonstop. It seems in years past the crawler bite usually takes off a bit later. Or have we been missing the boat over the years. Is it just me or what???

The bay in late may and june for me the last 3 years has been hot and they have all come on crawlers. I was looking back over my notes from my trips to the bay in may and june and 90% of my fish have come on crawlers either on spinners or Capt. Dan's spoon rigs. This year has been no exception in the the two trips so far this year out of the 21 legal walleye boated and numerous little ones only one has come on plastic.

Good Fishing

Tim

I've had some good luck with blind man type rigs with a hammered hachet blade and yellow/black beads...on the west side.
