Hi all !
As most of you know I just picked up a bass boat this past weekend. Well she's pretty well cleaned up and I've gotten some minor problems corrected. Now I'm getting ready to rig her with my electronics. Right now there's a Humminbird fish finder mounted on the bow with the transducer on the trolling motor. There's also a Humminbird LCR 100 mounted on the dash. I'm assuming that this is just a depth sounder.
I'm getting ready to mount and wire my VHF, GPS (portable but I need a power plug), and fish finder. The fish finder is a Humminbird Wide 3D with speed and temp. Right now the transducer for the LCR 100 is mounted on the transom on the starboard side. Should I mount the transducer and speed sensor for the 3D on the port side ? I'm just wondering if the two transducers are going to interfere with each other. The other thing I'm thinking about is do I really need that LCR 100 ? That 3D is a pretty nice unit and I don't really think I'll need a separate sounder if I have that one already. I'm thinking that maybe I could lose the 100 and use its place on the dash to mount a tach.
Any ideas ?
Thanks for any input !
John
