My friend Scott(right), our friend and taxidermist Eric(center), and I after a 3 hour shoot on a local river.
We motored up stream early in the morning, then slowly drifted our way back down. We drifted all the shallows, and used the trolling motor to move around in the backwaters.
These are the fish we were able to boat. We also stuck, and lost 3 carp, 2 gar, 2 sheephead, and 1 sucker. That is eight more that we had arrows in, but they managed to pull off on the retrieve. Not to mention all the misses.
The suckers were everywhere on the shallow gravel beds, but those things are hard to hit. When they decide to go..they go fast.
It was a great day on the water!!!! I can't wait to get back out again. We were hoping to tomorrow, but I don't think the weather will cooperate.
