View Full Version : metro beach fishing piers

Want to take my son and a couple of his buddies fishing this weekend. Thought that the fishing piers at metro beach out by Huron Point might be an ok place to try. What baits and set-ups would work best here, or will there be to much boat traffic. You know how kids are, short attention spans and bored quickly. :sad: Might be better off going to Kensington or Stony Creek. :dizzy:

honestly no one has any because none of us fish there... i went for a walk / the little lady there a month or so ago and the old imers fishin there where using a split perch/crappie rig u know the double hook... w/ a decent sized sincker... casting it out as far as it would go and catching gills and silver bass. not that hot for me to even bother. hope this was good enough input for ya :(

Yes, thank you Neil. I was just looking for opinions on where a couple of 7 yr olds could fish from shore and actually catch something.
