Went out of wyndotte last night, ended up with 4 nice walleye, about 20 throwbacks and my VERY FIRST CARP :yikes: pulling wire. The Carp was legally hooked on a perch rapala  it was a definite first for me.

i was fishing the upper river 2 weekends ago jigging and i foul hooked a huge carp in the tail. I thought i had maybe a small sturgeon or a huge walleye at first but after a long fight, i was quite dissapointed. That was the first carp ive ever caught in the lake or river.

Congrats on your first Carp hadlining. Its a good thing. They would be in the minnow mode and the walleye should be jumping? That carp would be great for the garden or next to a tree you want to sprout! They fight nice Ahh!
